linking objects between scenes

Ok i am good at blender and understand most of the stuff

just one thing i have never understood

how do you link objects between scenes AFTER making a new scene with all objects linked.

i have a scnee which i have deleted some objects out of and another scene which still has them in.

how do i get those objects back to the first scene???

select the object in the first scene
Ctrl-L -> To Scene
select the second scene in the list
