Linking objects?

What’s the quickest way to do this? (I am a noob) I notice that in Blender, you can copy, but I have not figured out how to paste yet :frowning:

Thanks,

shift + d duplicates whatever you have selected (verts, edges, polies, whole objects), then you just use the normal keys to move/rot/scale it how you want.

cntr + c copies only a specific element of w/e is selected, I don’t really use it so Im not sure cntr + v is even the correct way to apply it afterwards.

Yeah CTRL+V was the first thing I tried. Doesn’t work unfortunatly.

To copy objects its simply Shift-D or Alt-D(Linked duplicate) (Note it will be in the same position so you will need to move it to see it)

To copy vertices from one mesh object to another ,
Select the chosen vertices and press shift-d to duplicate them, press enter or right click to finish duplication, press p and choose selected to seperate them into another object. Tab into object mode select the newly dupliacted mesh object then shift select the the object you want to copy to and press ctrl-j to join the mesh objects.

The way Ctrl-C works on selected items, You can select more then 2 items, The chosen attribute of the last item you select when you press Ctrl-C will be copied to all the rest of the selected objects.
