Linking Rigging sort of question...

Not sure if this Rigging accually but I use it all the time with Rigging so…

Okay … I link in a Grouped model and Rigg into a separate Scene file…
and do the ‘Make Proxy’ thing… no problem…

However now I decide to delete this Group from my scene… that works…

but now when I try to load in a Group with the same name later… I can’t get it to load into the scene file… if it loads I can’t see it anywhere…

is there any place I can ‘see’ what Groups are still associated with the scene file? to delete them or ‘unlink’ them or whatever?

I had that problem as well. If never found a solutions other than making a new .blend file. :frowning: With luck, somebody else knows more.

partly solved the problem… by simply going back to my ‘linked’ file and using ‘save as’ then hitting the ‘plus’ file name increment to save it with a different file name… joedudecharacter_001… to joedudecharacter_002… (for example) then opened my scene file and linked to the incremented file instead of the old one… and suddenly all started working again… but still that might be in a pain to fix in a larger production setting… but that worked for now
… but I’m still wishing for a better solution…
