I am constructing a bird and have separate armatures for the body, the wing and the tail. I would like to mould (parent) these into one. How do I go about this, or is it possible at all?
just create an empty about where its center of mass should be, and parent all the armatures to the empty.
If there’s no reason why the armatures should be as separate objects (dependancy issues), then select all the armatures that you would like as one, making sure that the one you want to merge to is active. Then press CTRL J
Thanks for the solutions. Ctrl-J seems to work fine, except that the armature merged and the object skinned to it disappears from the 3D view when linking. Very weird.
