Liquid that forms into an object

How do you create a liquid that moves into a shape. The best example I can think of is how in terminator 2 the metal molds into the shape of the terminator. So does anyone know how to create that sort of effect?

Thanks

Shard

You can do such a thing with Metaballs, maybe using a lattice to control their deformation in some way…

There was a tutorial on how to make liquid metal effects with Metaballs in Blender. It could give you a couple of ideas…
Try to do a googgle search to see if you can find it… In case you won’t find it, I have it in .pdf and I’ll be glad to send it to you…

I hope this helps…

Here you can find some Blender liquid examples.

yeah I was thinkning something with meatballs would be how to do it. I have seen that tutorial before they did it by modelling the letters in advance I dont know how to model something as complex as a face with meatballs. So is there a way to make the meatballs go around a head I already modelled.

Thanks again for your help
