liquid time in animation

Lets say mine animation has 500 frames. I want to make inflow object that add fluid for the first 300 frames. How to make that?

Suggestions (may not work)

1: move it out of fluid sim boundary in one frame
2:Cover it with an outflow

Wrong forum, but if I remember correctly you can key inflow rates with ipos.

What IPO control fluid?
Is there any document or tutorial that show that information?

Select the inflow object, go to the ipo editor, select “fluidsim” from the dropdown, and key the Active ipo so that goes below zero at frame 300. Active is a binary value, it’s either +0 or -0, so the actual value doesn’t matter.

You can also key the scale of the inflow. Keying the scale to zero will shut off the inflow.
