List of addons that work with 2.8

Hello guys and gals! May I suggest to the add-ons’ developers to keep a 2.79b compatible version beside the “new” 2.80 version? It could be a frozen version if the dev has already started to port or ported it to 2.8. This way we are not going to lose those add-ons that work with 2.79 (and several I use will probably never be ported to 2.8). Thanks.

I didn’t find BlenderKit here - www.blenderkit.com

Added all of my shading addons with 2.8 support:

Hi, @Thatimster
That sounds super al those updates I will try the Wisp shader.

Do you know that every-one can add the addons in the list in the first post? It’s a wiki and we all have access. I stopped adding addons to the list myself, because started out to be a day task and didn’t have time anymore for myself. Very busy now with some projects.

Didn’t know you could do that on Blenderartists! Have updated accordingly. Would it be worth removing the google sheet then to avoid confusion?

I just made a very simple, i hope, useful addon. It copies the Blender app info to the clipboard so you only need to paste it when doing a bug report. I always tried to memorize the splash screen or do 2 window thing.

This makes life much easier

Thanks, i understand. This list grows as fast as Blender spitsout updates now. I’ll check how to do this and will add it.

I got a couple more which im updating

PS how does it populate that list here? Thats quite handy, is it simply a linked docs file or so?

PS2
My addon is under ‘user’ section, can i simply add a new column?

This file isnt the complete list as it shows here. I see many addons are not on this list?

The google doc is another list by someone else in an attempt to categorize the addons.
I am not sure if that list is complete. Hopefully one of the moderators of this forum have an idea on how to implement a database where you can search, filter and add tags. It seems to me that most use the list, not the google doc. In the first post there is somewhere a pencil If you click on it, you can edit the list.
It’s an orange pencil I believe showing 186 at the moment.

Sorry i didnt read the first post again. I added it now. That Drive file is somewhat misleading.

Perhaps make he intro Bold or so?

I will update the intro, so things are more clear.
Thanks for the idea.

Is the intro better now?

Hey, i’ve seen a bit about Fluent lately,

Hi @Darknoodles

Ho sorry, haven’t taken the time to read the update  my bad !

I still really miss the good ol’ Blender Add-on List blog. :sob:

I added internal links to the free/paid/built-in sections for easier navigation. I also think it might time to start breaking down this list into sections for easier navigation?

@bartv Thanks, that’s handy those sections you made.
I see that the markup code is a bit messed up of the free addons. Are we able to recover that?

Do you have an idea if it is possible to have a search-function and filter options for the Wiki. Is there maybe an addon available with jquery search functions for a table or something similar.

There are request to make categories, but I think that won’t work well. Better is to be able to assign tags and that users can search or filter for tags.

Added Level Builder - a powerful tools help you to speed up the level design process.
