Great work Robertt. And also, nice to see you take what others have to say and use it to your advantage/learning aspect of your work. That is what we are here for and I hope others will take this and learn from it as well.
Now there’s depth and all.
The only gripe I have is still about the words “listen” …not so much the word itself
as the characters (fontset).
In order to “mystify” the image a bit more…maybe you could create a “logo” instead of
just typing the word “listen”.
An example of a mysterious logo would be building the word up as a matrix of blocks
and the blocks are falling apart, or perhaps even splitting…and the splitting parts
would fade into the vastness of the dark…maybe some of the bricks would head
for the LNB’s of the dishes.
I like the third the best technically, but the first one is much more aesthetically pleasing to me. It’s much calmer than the overwhelming orange-red ones.
iiinteresting. I’m a bit worried how nowadays finished project threads seem to be more and more “advanced wip” , but besides that… i like it! it’s very different Robertt picture. I can’t decide which is best… luckily I don’t have to. I just enjoy it, and hope there is anyone out there.
Thanks everyone! The first version stays as is, while the “third” version becomes poster #2, so everybody wins
Next challenge is to decide on where to make the poster available. I was thinking possibly of Art.com or Cafepress.com. I wish there was something that could be done locally though through the Blender e-shop. In reality, this project is also a test run for possible future poster bound works Testing the waters…
basse: Thanks so much! About the forum, I definitely share your concern. Some works posted here should be in WIP. Sometimes I see this functions as more of a “finishing” forum rather than an ultimate “finished” forum, considering the feedback part and all. BgDM echoed my sentiments with his last post in this thread. Without feedback, artistic openness to that feedback, and the chance (and artist’s desire) to make improvements, it would more like a gallery of images that could have been better By the time I post here I’m usually on to the next blend. Even after the fact I try to stay open-minded and am willing to create new/alternate versions of a work after receiving feedback, but only if I recognize there’s a good opportunity for some substantial improvement. And sometimes I do so without much encouragement, like with my “Curious” character. I don’t know why other people post in FP, but my goal is definitely to get better thanks to the great feedback from you, BgDM, and everyone else who offers something constructive. For that I am so grateful.
