overall, you have to learn the shadows in blender. only spot light casts shadows. you also have to press down “shadows” in renderbuttons, to actually render them.
if you like the lighting otherwise, you can add extra spot, and turn it to “shadowsonly” spot.
the inside scene, the second picture, lamp is not casting any light? also why there is grass on the wall?
if you want smooth surfaces, use “setsmooth” in editbuttons… also, like the coastline, you perhaps want it a bit more round… try experiementing with subsurfs (again in editbuttons…)
well. it’s getting there. mostly I would worry about lighting now…
