Live Music

This is the first “complicated” animation I did, meaning several scenes to organize and music to go with it!

I learned a lot from this and I can start more complex projects now.
There’s lots of things I could improve but I had to call this project finished someday. The first thing would be to refine the transition between the note on the music staff and the guitar. Redo some animation and introduce more actions. Refine transition between shots…

Done in completely with Blender except some photos edited with GIMP.

Thanks to the Blender community for helping me learn Blender and animation!

Is that guitar flying?
I liked the idea. Nice story. But you could have added more stuff to the rendering in the guitar scene (AAO, Environment lighting… something)… The guitar scene didn’t look very appealing.

Humm…yeah, it’s actually flying! I could say it is because it’s a magical guitar, but the truth is that with its geometry, it wouldn’t stand strait on a flat surface…
Thanks for the advice, I’ll make use of it. Environment lighting is in Blender 2.5x, right? Not in 2.49 wich I used for this animation…Does it take account of how much light each object of the scene is reflecting?

You could have putten it on a guitar stand or something…

Good suggestion! I thought about it too but I wanted the guitar to be horizontal. I thought guitar stands were only vertical but I found some horizontal on the Internet. If I do a second version I will put one in. Thanks!
