There seems to me to be a large “lighted area,” beneath the two horns in the first shot, that is actually more brightly-lit and visually-interesting than the creature’s face. I would suggest toning that area down, so that it becomes a frame for the face. Also consider adding “catch-lights in the eyes.”
This composition, while very detailed and interesting, is also very, very busy. Maybe a little bit too busy?
