loading background picture in Blender

Hi, it’s my first time here :smiley:
Actually I do not create games, but I translate (into Polish) a book about Blender. I have a problem with one tutorial. Author tells me to load background picture from CD. This image is in .jpg format. I’m in appropriate folder, but I can’t see any files! Why my Blender’s browser doesn’t show .jpg files? Please help

Hm. Not quite sure what to tell you, but if it’s not loading in the display buttons, maybe try going up to the buttons window. You can load it there too. And if THAT doesn’t work, try loading it into the UV editor, and then selecting ‘browse’ in the buttons window or the display window. It’s that little tiny unlabelled button that looks like it probably doesn’t do anything that you want. good luck.

The book is “The official Blender gamekit interactive 3d for artists”, Roosendaal & Wartman.
It’s a hard task indeed… It’s my first book about 3d, games, and Blender itself. I hope I can count on You in case of bigger problems :wink:
