Is there a python script or something that loads stuff like textures and models? I mean if you start a game it will be a lot faster and if you have
high-poly maps (like 2000 polys) you can cut them to areas(I mean something like loading area). If you are on area A and move to area B
then it should un-load the area A models and textures and load the area B
models and stuff…
There’s a way to do that, but only add objects and then delete them, it’s the empties add objects technic. But some bledner dudes make there own techinic to load objects when close to them (cresent down,I thought). And also someone told me that the newest version of blender 2.28 (comming soon in july) has got a distance culling (I’ll hope so) So you can wait, or ask some blender heads to publish there techinic on speeding up your game. 8)
Yeah, Im working on that script, but we keep finding bugs so its not ready yet, and 2.28 MIGHT have distance culling. If I can finish it by then…
I was checking your site again Saluk … :o :o :o, yeah, a new screenshot, I’m still thinking about how you do things. I really like the clouds you made, How did you do that, planes with textures which are following the player? And do you’ve got animated volumetric mist?? :-?, But you didn’t add new things to the game yet, maybe you should model more animals Keep Blending. 8)
