I am trying to figure out how to animate with IPO curves. For the animation that I am trying to make I want to animate an object with IPO curves. Basically, my question is is it possible to adjust local transform orientation curves as opposed to global ones?
You need to frig it. See this thread where you can animate rotation along a local axis using an empty.
hmm, thanks for the quick reply, but I don’t think this will work for what I want to do. What I want is my object moving around but always moving in its local y direction, however I don’t want the object to be going in a continous line. I want it to turn left and right and sort of weave. I guess I could do this with your previous suggestion, however, that would require manualy rotating the object so that it is facing the correct direction at all times. Also it would be harder to keep the speed of the object constant with that idea. Sorry for not being more clear. Any other ideas?
