Logitech Quickcam

Started working on this camera today. Shaders need some work and I may include the cable at the back yet. Just another simple project to hone my shading and lighting abilities. Hopefully I can hit absolute realism on this one. :evilgrin:

Mostly some lighting refinements and other tweaks. Nearing completion now. This piece is targeted towards commercials, product display, so naturally I want to present it as such for my portfolio. Advice on presentation would be much appreciated.

Some of the reflections on the back aren’t as smooth as I like, so I’ll need to adjust the topology slightly. Made a proper rubber grip.

The modeling and materials are looking really sharp. I might add a very slight noise texture and use it as a factor input for a mix node with a glossy and diffuse material for its shader inputs…that would make the plastic a but more interesting to look at instead of just a solid smooth color. (The noise I’m talking about would be TINY)

Yes! I did think the rubber might need a little noise, it was bothering me that it just seemed a tiiiiny too smooth. I will certainly try this and include with my next update. Thanks a lot, Goldenfrog.
