yeah i do need to work on those toes. like completely redo them cuz they were only 2D in the last ones but now they need to be wrapped around the text.

i’ll ditch the toon shading idea unless i can work it out. i don’t think the border works either.

I thought the shadless looked good … and it would translate well into vector.

:slight_smile: Good effort so far, I waqs just having a thought while looking at your basketball version. Possibly, you coud change the basketball lines into a globe, and superimpose a cross(?) onto it, as if the talons are holding the globe?

sorry im bumping this up - i’ve been really busy this week (week before finals).

i have a little update - i fixed the talons:

-shaded:

i will try the world/cross version soon. though im not sure how that would translate into a shadeless logo. oh well.

I really like the Shaded one… Thats a great color… I think it would be betting if the text still had a border, don’t know if that will be easy to do though. Looks great as far as I’m concerned… have you shown it to anyone at the scholl or asked them what they think might be good?

I like the shadeless w/ edges, but I think the edges are too thick for the tight areas like where the wings meet the body. I think it would look great about 1/2 as thick.

try actually modeling a bird, and not just a flat logo (it can also make the wing on the right look better). I have no clue how to use freestyle (actually anything other than blender internal for that matter) but I think you could get something super cool lookin

I like your designs, but it still looks like it is cradling something round. So how about something else round instead of a basketball? A globe perhaps? A round shield? Coin? Something round that is in sync with your school…

Just a thought

hey yeah, i never thought about that. our school does have a shield logo thingy. i could work that in.

after i finish finals. bleah.
