Interesting, what is it rendered with?

Yafray

What settings?

Sorry, I´m yafray newbie :expressionless: and this is my first completed yafray picture.
In scene is one lamp ( ray shadow, 5 samples, radius 3 ), GI (sky dome, emit power 0.75 ), DOF ( aperture 0.1 ), AA ( passes 10, samples 20 ). All other settings is original.

Teally nice one more q what did you do for the octogons? Did you extrude? If so what mesh?

Get rid of the corny blurr effects, it really ruins it IMHO. Saying that you should enter this for the screen that pops up when blender is laoding for version 2.4

I think the blur would look very good if it wasn’t so grainy.

I like it.

where do u get yarfey?

Hehe… yarfey.

I was wondering, does anyone know if its possible to DOF with Blender’s internal renderer?

doesn’t Zblur (I’m thinking that’s the wrong name) fake a DOF with the internal renderer?

this is pretty cool-
I see a bit of a smoothing issues with the corners of the hexagons tho

very nice love the concept. only thing is you should re render but with higher AA settings, since the DOF needs some more smoothing

—they are not octogons, but hexagons.

—Well…you get “yarfey” here

I was wondering, does anyone know if its possible to DOF with Blender’s internal renderer?

—AFAIK it is only possible thru faking techniques. See http://download.blender.org/documentation/htmlI/ch17s07.html.

Cheers!!!

Hey

nice image you ahve there. As a personal preference i would add a yellow tinted light off to the top right direction of the scene. Right now it looks slightly bland. I think that playing around with lights and probably bringing out some of the shadows more would help greatly.
For the rest a nice image, though you really have to get rid of the grainy DOF.
