Looking for 3D artist to collaborate on realistic survival horror game The Midnight Records

Hello!

We are a small startup game studio from Sweden called Mardröm Interactive, and we are working on a survival horror game called the Midnight Records. We’re looking for one or more 3D artists who are willing to lend their skills and help us make this game the best it can be.

The game has a realistic art style, and focuses heavily on slowly exploring an atmospheric and grounded setting which is at times both haunting and beautiful. Here is the Itch-page for a demo we released a few months back (we are currently working on an updated version): https://mardrom-interactive.itch.io/the-midnight-records

We’re primarily looking for artists who can model and texture buildings, props and characters in a realistic art style. Skills in rigging and animation are welcome, but not necessary.

We’re currently unable to provide paid positions, and so we have two main ways in which we can collaborate:

The first is as an unpaid contributor, where you help us create specific assets on an as-needed basis. You will of course be properly credited, and will retain full rights to use your own work outside of our collaboration. As we move forward as a studio, and as we hopefully gain the ability to hire and contract developers, anyone who has collaborated with us before will of course be at the top of our list of people to look at.

The second option is to join our team as a full time member. This is a major commitment and does not provide pay at this time either, but this might change in the future depending on what funding options we pursue. If you like what we’re doing and would like to explore the option, we would be more than happy to talk about it!

We’re eager to hear from you, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions!

Cheers!

Hello!

Apologies for the delayed response!

Absolutely, get in touch with me at [email protected] and we’ll talk! It seems I’m unable to send private messages on here for some reason.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hello Fredric,

Your project looks really interesting, and I’d love to contribute as an unpaid 3D artist, focusing on props and buildings in a realistic style. I’d be happy to support the team however I can. Would it be possible to get in touch?
