Do you make a distinction between Gold and Goldfoil?

I made gold foil at one point for a stalitte model. Since I didn’t have a pice of gold foil to take a picture of…well, I substituted.

  1. crumple a pice of alluminum foil, flatten it out and take a picture so that you get the bumps created by the crumpling.
  2. use this picture as just a bump map, make it gold by playing with the color values.
  3. make it shiny by upping the spec.
