Looking for an addon for fast rigging of additional parts

I have a character rig that I then convert into a rigify.
But my model may have additional parts. For example, the Tail, the lower part of the horse.
Is it possible to connect pre-made rig parts to simple bones?
I know that rigify has a similar function.
But as I understand it, it only works on preloaded bones and won’t work on mine bones.

This won’t work.

Generate the full rigify solution. Then take your other bones that are needed, and join them to the rigify armature.

I already have models but with a simple rig.
I don’t want to change any bones because they already have weights.
I want to quickly add IK and FK manipulators to my bones


That’s one option, but Rigify is a modular rigging system, there should be no reason why you can’t combine your additional bones to the metarig, apply a suitable Rigify type, parent or connect as need be and have the whole thing generate in one hit.

The only real difference between a Rigify ‘preloaded’ bone, as in the sample you show and your own chain of bones, is that the Rigify sample has the Rigify Type already applied.

Need to be in pose mode to assign/change the Rigify Type on a bone.

Thank you. It worked in the regular addon. But for some reason it didn’t work in the addon converting rigs from DAZ.
As I understand, after the converting I can no longer add a new rig.

Yeah, sorry, I have no experience with DAZ, so don’t really know what that is or isn’t doing and hence how it may or may not be messing up Rigify.

At a guess, any ‘converted’ rig, wouldn’t have the rigify types on the base bone setup to start with, so not really anything Rigify can do about that.

Sounds like you may have to figure out an overall workflow to do what you want to do as easy as possible.
