Anyone have any idea what became of Ira Krakow? He had an excellent Blender tutorial series going but has disappeared. His Youtube channel and blog are no longer updated and his forum is gone completely.
someone signed into his youtube account last week.
Hmm, I thought he was still active, see this:
itās dated Feb 3, 2011. But yes, his forum isnāt up anymore, checked twice several days apart just to make sure it wasnāt a server problem. So I really donāt know what has happened.

Thanks for the responsesā¦
While we are searching for Ira Krakow, we might also start looking for Apollos from Blenderunderground dot com. The 5 part blender basics tutorial was really great (in my opinion). Also his catch phrase of āthe manā used to make me laugh every time. The site is not being updated. I miss him.
+1 to that
his video tutorials were among the best out there
is he alive? no google results
Ira is fine! hurray! whois is your friend.
You mean you found him? Where? I was going to post a link to his site when I discovered this thread. I canāt find the site anymore
Donāt worry, Iām still around. Yes, my blog is gone because I was getting too many spam messages. Otherwise, my Blender 3D videos are still up and running on Youtube. Hope you like them!
Ira
Sorry about the blog but glad youāre still with usā¦
Nice you are OKā¦ Without you and your tuts guess I would not be even able to unwrap up to the present dayā¦
i bet you ira has been sold out to the oppressive force of proprietary software empires by one of his closest disciples and been crucified for his preaching of the Code of Ton.
But donāt be dissmayed, Heāll probably jump out of the cave and leap into the sky in three daysā¦(sound familiar?)
Dear Friends,
Iām still here, alive and kicking. In fact, perhaps better than ever. I havenāt sold out to anyone.
