Loop Cut and Wheel

Hi,
I have an object and I want to use tool “loop cut” and use wheel to get more cuts like in tutorial below:

But when im doing that nothing happened, I can use operator panel as workaround, but i think using wheel it would be much better for me, any help?

Difference between old Loop Cut and new Active Tool

Odd, I have no problem using my mouse wheel to add cuts.

I have same problem with blender that different version of tools not shows when I press them.

We are talking about active tools, not Ctrl +R.

Never mind about last tool issue, I check tutorial and now i know how to handle this , but still can’t use Loop Cut Tool with Wheel
