Lost in layers

Hi, all!

That thing is supposed to be a flying boat. In object mode the object “Cabine” appears all right but when I switch to edit mode “Cabine” disappears. I think it has something to do with a wrong usage of layers. What should I do?

Alt+H in edit mode to unhide your mesh you had hidden with shortcut H
