Lost literally all of my previous project files cause of this error that idk how to fix

this is the only error I get, the files are shown when I go into the “open recent” option, how can I fix this? im on Mac.

As the error states, Blender can’t access the file or the directory. Did you move/renamed the file or moved/renamed a directory that contained the file?
The ‘open recent’ option remembers the path to the files when you last saved them using Blender, but if you rename or move the file or directory the file is in, then that path no longer points to the file.
Instead of using “open recent”, use “open” and navigate to the file’s current location and open it.

there is no file, I think its just gone. is there any way to recover it or prevent it from happening

also its literally every file not just specifically that one

Then I don’t think it’s a Blender problem, but a storage device problem.

Assuming you don’t name your folders with long complex hashes like the error shows, what this means is that the drive this folder and file was on has been corrupted, your computer can no longer locate it. Hopefully you have good backups in place. In any case, you’re going to need to replace that drive ASAP

2019_autosave.blend This is an automatic save file.
I don’t think I’m going to manage the project files in this format
Is this a backup file or did you continue to use an autosave file.

The file path is also different from how it is commonly used.
It looks similar to the address of the website or the path used by the software…
It is estimated that it is the path used by the system.

Open the path yourself to see if the file exists.
It is not accurate because you are not a MAC user, but if it is a temporary storage folder on the system for downloading update files, etc., it is also possible that files will be automatically deleted periodically.
