Hi,
I have lost objects which I was working on, and I cannot remember which keys I was pressing. Now I just see the lamp. How can I get them back?

try pressing ~ to view all layers.
You might also check out the Scene button up top(in the info window), to make sure that you are on the same scene as the object.
Also, if you were working on a curve or poly without faces, try hitting “z” to turn off solid mode, which would make wireframes without faces invisible.
That’s assuming that you didn’t delete the mesh or anything crazy like that…
Cheers for reply.
~ is a useful tip.
In the end I did ‘reopen last’, and fortumately I had saved the scene.

You can also “hide” things by inadvertantly pressing ‘H’. I believe that Alt+H unhides them.
Both the spacebar and the ‘W’ key call up useful menus.
Or you can hide things by pressing NUM/. That toggles between local mode and non-local (whatever it’s called :)). With it, you can display only the selected object. Can be quite useful in complicated scenes.
