I know that you lot have probily seen lots of low poly models, and I know that they are not that interesting but im building them all the same and I cant pinpoint whats wrong with my model I just know that somethings not quite right. I have looked into changeing the spec map, the defuse but as I dont know whats wrong its kinda hard, hopeing you lot could tell me if you knowtice whats wrong with it.
Yes, I have a normal, but the normal seems to be drowned out by the texture, which is why I have been messing with the specular to get it more visible, however I have had quite a few messed up designs due to the alterations.
If you look at the image of the back of the dumpster it seems quite plain their, if you lot still think its fine then ok but if anyone finds anything that looks out of place please say.
Well, I guess the big different between your and that dumpster in the link texture wise is that the other has more scratches and looks more used. If you try to add in that in your normal and maybe include a displacement map on top on that so you can tweak it a little, it might be more as you wishes. An another big difference modeling wise that makes it a lot more believable is that you can clearly see how the lids are attached to the dumpster itself.
But hey, still looks pretty good, and I wouldn’t be ashamed to use this in a game.
