Low Poly Character - WIP

update: the whole mesh is now rigged. I have some more toe tweaking to do, but everything is working nicely now.

And yes, I know, the whole naming Left and Right convention is backwards, but I’m not about to go back and fix it. He’ll remain confused for the remainder of his life . . . oh well :stuck_out_tongue:

Here’s a simple walk cycle done with him, but it’s not the one I’m using in the game. He’ll move much more tactically and with a weapon in hand.

(note: this is a rendered animation, but the in-game textures will be very similar, since I’ll be baking them)

After I get some actions finished up, the next step is to get this guy running around in a room with the basic camera and movement controls. As usual, I’ll keep you posted.

I read the javascript on the Mac gallery site, and it looks like it’s specifically coded to reject Internet Explorer below version 7, Firefox below 1.5, and Safari below 1.3. I can’t say that I know why they did that.

Brian, thanks for putting up the YouTube link. (There’s no QuickTime player for Linux, so I couldn’t view the Mac gallery movie either.) Looks like some good progress you’re making.
