Low-poly driving game objects!

I had a few moments spare so I tried a simple project - low-poly driving game objects!

I’ve never been any good at getting shadow effects so I pressed a few buttons, namely RAY-SHADOW on the spot-lamp and RAY in the render buttons window, and whadayaknow… Shadows!!!

Unfortunately, when you choose RAY-SHADOW, instead of BUF.SHADOW you get less choices to play around with… so there doesn’t seem to be much I can do to soften the edges! :-? If anyone has any tips on that then it would be helpful! All other comments welcome!

I’m guessing that’s not a render from inside the game engine? If it were I would be greatly impressd. As far as adjust the blur for your ray shadows goes, sorry I can’t help, but the models look pretty cool, good work.

you can use area lights… but I suggest Yafray for that since its a lot faster. Nice models though a lil dirt never hurts

You guess right! I’m having enough trouble modelling, texturing and animating to even contemplate a game! One day maybe…

Thanks! As above, I’m in deep enough with basic Blender stuff but hopefully I’ll be able to expand soon!
