I’ve been doing 3d for about 6 months now (seriously, before it was just a plaything I did once a month maybe). And I’m finally brave enough to come out of the closet and put out some of my latest project. So here it is. A low poly fighter jet/space fighter or whatever you want to call it.

Still very much a wip. Havn’t finished some of the texture work.
As is probably obvious I’m having a real difficult time with making the textures realistic. The bump maps and spec maps don’t seem to be working. It might be just that I don’t know what I’m doing.
Anyway, C&C is welcome.
p.s. how do you get an AO map? I looked around and all I can find is what AO is but not how to render a texture map of it. (Same for texture baking.)
Ao baking is in the render menu. I don’t know why you want a spec map for that, but for the normal map, make sure it is set right in texture window and material. The wolf? logo that is in 2 places is too unclear, other than that it is a good WIP.
It’s not really a “wolf”. It’s an abstract that has wingish things.
(don’t know what it is really)
The blue/green one on the side is a highres object decal. And the ones on the fins are just part of the UV map. Any ideas on how to make them clearer?
I probably don’t need the spec map but I’m still trying to get the hang of photorealistic texturing so I’m attempted to do a complete map set on everything I make.
The bump map should be set up OK but it doesn’t seem to have any real effect. Maybe I’ll try tweaking it some more in gimp.
