Low Poly Male - Need Feedback

Hello, I used to use Blender avidly for its game engine and low poly modeling. I quit about 2-3 years ago due to lack of motivation I guess. Anyways, I have decided to start up again and try to go somewhere with this. Here is the first model I have worked on since coming back to it.

If anyone would be so kind as to download the .blend and take a look at the topology and such to give me some feedback that would be awesome. I plan on adding more detail later (facial features, fingered hands, clothes, etc) as well as fully texturing it. For now I would just like to know how my topology is as well as any other tips on modeling.

Thank you!

EDIT: The character is supposed to look a bit cartoony as well. I’m shooting for somewhat realistic proportions with a stylized look.

Nothing really bad about your topology. You will just need a little more edge loops around the joints to animate. (There is a theory floating around which states that 3 edge loops is the right number.)

The only thing that I don’t like is the back which is too flat. (No buttocks, no shoulder blades.) And if it were my model, I’d add a separate forefinger. I think that’s the minimum.

Still, it looks like a good model to me.

Thanks for the feedback! I did originally try to make a more defined buttocks but had the hardest time getting it to look right :stuck_out_tongue: I’ll give it another go. I definitely agree with everything you said though! I added more loops and a finger to the hands as well as more curves and definition to the back. I’ll post again once I have made more substantial progress.
