LSCM tutorials.....

Anyone know some good LSCM tuts ? I seem to have trouble unwrapping more complex shapes, as in where the seams should go …

basically any area that is bulbous or concave is going to need a seam to unfold properly, so try extending your exsisting seams, or making new ones. sometimes even with lscm, and plenty of seams the more complex areas come out knotted up or jumbled up. to fix this enable the ‘stick local UVs to mesh vertex’ option in one of the menus in the UV editor, and by right clicking and moving UV nodes, untie the knot. It’s not terribly hard once you get the hang of it, also it helps to have ‘faces’ checked in edit buttons while doing this.

Some times pinning UVs may help…
