LSCM UV mapping tutorial

Can someone help a newbie,

I am starting to follow the video tutorials and i’m up to Grey Beards Tutorial No. 1 " LSCM UV- Mapping in Blender 2.34"

He is using a joined sphere object. I am trying to create one from scratch but mine has a seam in the middle of the connecting spheres around the tubular middle. How can I get that ridge/seam to disappear?

thanks in advance

First, I think he is using two metaballs. If you are using mesh, try recalculating normals.

Wat,

Thanks,

I was able to reproduce it with mesh spheres and remove doubles command.

Now i’m at the end and looking for a test.jpg pattern that he uses.

thanks for the reply.
