LW>B: LWM background layer functionality?

What’s the Blender approach to LWModeler’s Background Layer functionality?

MOSTLY, being able to see, and occasionally programatically reference, the designated Background Layer? But mostly just being able to see it.

There’s no direct comparison unfortunately. The only way you could get close it to set hte objects you want in the background to their own collection, then have them displayed as wireframe with the ‘selectable’ toggle off. That’s pretty much how I do it, but you can’t really get hte same ability as LW and there’s no option to “flip” back and foreground.
