why? they’re just trying to get people to buy their product. if you could afford to make your mp3 player the top result when people search for good mp3 players, wouldn’t you?
why do i not see Apple’s Ipod up there as well? or the Creative’s Zen? or anything other than the Microsoft’s Zune?

“Sponsored Link” guess what, they payed for that advertising. It ain’t a conspearacy. And any advertisement is gonna try to show the product in a better light, want conciet look at the get a mac commercials.

M$ is no better than Apple at commercials for their mp3 players. That’s all. Its simply another advertisment 
Microsoft clearly beat them at advertising there. Its called good business. So, Apple may advertise, but Microsoft is conceited if they advertise.
Or should anyone that advertise be considered conceited?
Why would Apple need to advertise? They already have it in most peoples heads just to get an Ipod before even thinking about it.

They aren’t selling that well at all, we have them at office max, at first we displayed them right up at the front. But, they didnt sell, now they’re back on the side wall.
when I did a search using the same terms, I had a column on the right hand side of the screen of sponsored links… Apple iPod Store was at the top of that list. This sounds like more lame ass excuses to bash MS to me.
People do know that the “Sponsored Links” thing is random, right? Hell, I did the search and got some ad for The Source with the same “Best Mp3 Player” as the Microsoft ad.

jesus christ, i just thought it was a bit humorous,and i dont recall bashing MS anywhere.
I’m not much into mp3 players, so I can’t really talk about the validity of the banner. However, I’m pretty sure that anyone can buy advertising space from google.
It’s just bussiness, not something I would call the “hight of conceit”.
