Mac OS problem with Blender 2.77-2.76

Hi everyone,

I am very new to Blender and just started my experiments, but I face a technical issue (I suppose it’s technical, huh).

My primary computer has MacOs 10.9, and with Blender 2.77 I can’t see any animation: after baking the simple smoke animation, I see only cubes moving, not smoke itself, as it is shown in the online tutorial. I repeated same actions in same version of Blender on Win8, and the animation worked - I saw the smoke, not cubes.

So I installed Blender 2.76 instead, and animation works well just until the first attempt to change it. When I try to change anything - I don’t see any animation anymore.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Releases until 2.77a had a bug preventing the viewport visualization of smoke on OS X.
The subsequent releases are fine, so you can get a newer copy of blender at Buildboat.

About issues in 2.76, on OS X 10.9.5 I have no clue.
