Always have been intimidated by super-complex CG robots. So, tried my hand at a bunch of them. Turned out good enough, i think. Would appreciate any kind of feedback.
Made a tutorial about it too -
Below are the renders -
Ecobot - Lives on plants–still plucks them off. A1 Savage.
Autobot - Drives himself. Self-Dependent. Fun guy!
Decapitator - Brings your stuff to you. Like keys or your wallet. But if you get in it’s way, it will decapitate you. Loyal. Workaholic. Not fun.
Stubbot - Lies in unsuspecting places, and stubs your feet, when you’re least expecting it. Just an A**hole.
I love the Ecobot, overall amazing work!
I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
Very nice… especially the howto get inspiration & reference part in the video
You’re on the #featured row!
Really nice @devnalim! I love how you are placing the robots in their environments - really sets the mood for each of the models.
Do you mind so share some details about your post workflow? Do you do your compositing in blender directly or in another package.
Thanks and all the best,
Thanks a lot @Jonathan_Josenhans
I do all post effects like dust overlays, smoke overlays, light flares etc in Photoshop. Then i use Lightroom for color grading the whole thing. Nothing special really
Nice work! I like all of them, but the Autobot is my favorite!
Good video too.
Ouh, they are super cute. Nice work!
