Hello all, my name is Dijon (A.K.A. Androiddab) and I recently released my first video on my youtube channel. I was wondering if you guys could check it out and give me your opinions and recommendations on where to take the concept from here. As a bulk of the video was made in Blender, I am a little more interested in your opinions than other, non-learned people. I have an A.A.S. in Animation, but this was my FIRST time using Blender, my schooling was in 3ds max, I actually like blender more! I know a lot of it isn’t the best, but like I stated earlier… first time in Blender LOL.
So please let me know what you guys think I can improve upon and if you have a youtube account, I would love the comment, “like” and subscription on youtube if you could… cause I am planning LOADS more content!
Rock it out! Very cool. My favorite was the loading bar at the beginning, that was hilarious, and my favorite shots were the two from 2:10 to 2:15 . Good job. Long video for 3d art.
I think you should have matched the color scheme of the robots to the video of the guy playing.
I am not a fan of the single-colored building/floor/etc I realize that you were not wanting photo-realism, but i think it could be changed a little. -it might be good enough just to play with the colors in the compositor, just test it out.
Music videos are very difficult. They need a lot of motion and a lot of cuts (at least for up tempo music) – your 3d skills are good all around, editing is good – but doesn’t fit for the song IMO
I got to agree with this view. Everything was done well, just felt like it was mashing techno and rock together. But thats just personal taste and I’m still loving the video and music independently to each other. But nice work, and well done for seeing the project the full way through.
+1 on the loading bar, best part of the whole thing.
You rock that guitar, sounds really great I think you would actually gain something in the presentation to not have the clips of you playing, or maybe integrating them into the scenes, you have plenty of flat surfaces where you can put this footage.
THANKS EVERYONE!!! It seems like it is, overall done pretty decent for what it is… but I could have done better. I am taking everyones critique into account and working on the next video… which should hopefully be out by the end of Feb!!! Thanks again, it means more than you know!!
