If anyone has heard of Madness Combat then you will know where this came from. and you will also know why there is no color to him at all. also I have a couple questions. How do I make him so he’s not so shiny and how would I make a splatter on the ground that I will add in? like someone threw a bottle of something at him and it splattered on the floor behind him. also any comments or crits you have are very welcome.
Yes, I think I recognize him, you turn down the specularity in the material settings, and it looks kind of like an axe.
There are several ways to create the splatter effect. One way is to use the fluid simulator to create realistic splattering effect. Another way is to use material nodes to cause the splatter to show up. I saw a tutorial on the blender website about the material nodes.
I definitly recognize the little dude. I watch all the cartoons on newgrounds. Can’t wait to see it in 3D.
I would suggest studying the madness characters a little closer. The head overlaps with the body to some extent. The body tends to taper as it comes to a point. Etc…
Good work!

I changed the head and made him not shiny. but I couldn’t find the tutorial bbelt was talking about. What blender site? and any other crits. this is my first "official"project and I want it to look really good. and what could I do to the axe to make it look better.

The tutorials is on blendernation. There is two of them that will give you a some tips on how to make a splatter effect show up. Try here and here. They both show how to make a seperate material show up on to another.
I added some textures to the axe. but I still could not find the tutorial on nodes. but tell me what I should do to the axe to make it look better. and remember that this is suppose to like kind of animated not as real as possible

come on you guys. I really need some crits on this. I am stuck. I can’t figure out what to do next.
Do the CLOWN! DO THE CLOWN!! y’know, tricky.
I might do the clown. I just want to finish Hank. for those of you who don’t know the character I am doing is named Hank. but I will definitely consider the other characters. no one has any crits though. come on!
The ax really looks good. The character is looking better. It’s difficult to give tips on the weapon because we don’t really know what kind of look you are going for. If I was modeling the Ax, I would make it look a little more rounded in the handle and the blade. The entire ax looks to rough. Also eliminate the points on the handle too, it makes the ax look a little off. Try putting up a wireframe so we can see the entire dimension of the weapon.
If you are going for a toon look, try adjusting the materials alittle to give you that toon look. Set the shaders to toon and turn on edge in the render panel.
here is a toon version of the axe. I also took out the point on the bottom of the axe. but I like the one on top. I can’t figure out how to put up a wireframe though. I mean I know how to make it look like a wireframe but i can’t get a picture of it.

Uh, I’m not seeing any art or anything, maybe recheck the images? If you want to do a wireframe, there’s a few ways.
You can set it to wireframe and take a screenshot
Enter F5 and select “Wire” from the list and deselect the object and screenshot that.
Or select “Wire” in the material options and render it then.
here is the picture. the attachment didn’t work last time. and some how I double posted.

why doesn’t anyone reply i know theres problems that why i posted it. c+c please
The model is heavily simplistic and highly stylized. No-one can tell if there are problems with it or not because it’s so unreal in every way, nobody has any reference to compare it against. It’s a tiny little cylinder man, what problems could there be with it?
alright i get it. but i need some help with the hands. i don’t know how to wrap them around the handle. any ideas.
p.s. i’m also making a sword to go with it.
