how do I maintain subdivision when I make radiosity, I was experimenting with this a lot recently and I failed to go around this problem. Is there away to this.
In short, how to get the object smooth under radiosity, I can only get sharp object which is not what I am looking for.
thanx for help.
You could try converting the subsurf to mesh, with Alt-C (or Ctrl-C)
I did convert all the objects with subdivision to meshes and still get the same result. Sometimes are even worst because I get a lot undesired deformations.
When you use the ALT+C command to convert to standard mesh, you have to also delete the mesh.
When you convert, Blender makes a copy of the mesh in the standard mesh format. The one that you will still see is the original and is still in the Sub-D format. Just hit “X” and delete the mesh.
Don’t forget to go to the mesh edit window and set smooth.
Hope that helps.
BgDM
:)… yup …it helps, it really does.
thanx BgDM… I was wondering why when I convert to mesh using alt+c several times it still asking me if I want to convert to mesh even though I have just did so.
Now I can continue learning this tool after being stuck for quite sometime experimenting a lot.
Thank you guys for your help.
