Quick question… I know I can join 2 meshes with Ctrl-J. Is it possible to do the reverse (Take some vertices and make them into a seperate object?).
Thanks,
J

Yes you can. Just select the vertices you want to turn into a seperate object and hit the “p” key, and then choose “selected” from the pop-up.

I’ve always wondered this as well, thanks for that DwarvenFury!
I got stuck a week back making something when I realised one piece should really be seperate and I searched for ages to find what you just said.
