Make a parent in blender

Hi!
I’m new here. I’ve just started working with blender and I am already having problems. I’m trying to make a parent between two objects. I select both objects and clic space and make a parent objects. And the parent is made but the object is multiplied all over the sequence…Can anyone help me, pleeeeease???

Select the object you want to be the child, holding shift select the object you want to be the parent so they are both selected. Then use Ctrl+P to make the child/parent relationship.

I mean that the object I want to join appears multiplied ten times at least.

I make the steps which Richard said and I can make the parent, but my problem is the multiplied objects.

Have you got any modifiers on any of the objects or activated any of the duplicate options such as dupliface. Add a link to your blend file so we can track down the solution

I’ve finally started again and now I can make the parent normally. I don’t know if I had some active modifier, maybe I’ve touched what I mustn’t…I’m new!

If I have the problem again I’ll remember save it and show you in this post.
