Make a Playing Card

I want to make a playing card that has a regular playing card side (jpeg?) and then a jpeg of a person on the other side. I want to flip the card over exposing the picture of the person. I am doing a video for a friend and can use Premiere to do a flip transition but it doeesn’t look like a true card flip so that is why I want to do this portion as an animation.
I used a plane but it has only one face to UV map. I think I should use a cube but then I don’t know how to be sure if it is as thin as it can be or if that a cube is what I need to do.
May sound simple but it took me a while to understand how to map a UV to the cube using a tutorial and then just map the jpeg to one side and tried two sided until all hours of the day until I saw that a plane only has one face which I guess is why that idea failed.

Thanks for any help.

Easier than a Cube use a Plane and Extrude it (E) then punch in a number like .001. That’ll give you two faces with very little thickness. While that extruded face is still selected in Edit mode use W >> Flip Normal to point the face in the opposite direction to the one it was extruded from. Now you can safely UVMap each face with a pic and the connecting four Vertex Color with white, or UVMap them white if the exporter doesn’t support VertCol.

WOW, what a fast answer! Thank you. I obviously am very new to this 3d stuff (I’m an accountant not an artist). Once again it took me awhile to get it to work. I think I need to look at UV mapping a little more but for now I do see two different faces which is what I asked for help with. The reason I think I did something not quite right is because I toyed with it and went back into edit mode and extruded it a lot and I got a cube with all the faces except one the same. But, that is a good way for me to learn. Shrunk down it looks just like I wanted it to so I am happy at this point and can finally go to bed.
Thank you for getting me to the next step and I can now play with this more and learn more.
