Make light or object blink?

I have searched all over for a tip on how to make a light or object blink in an animation in Blender 2.5.
I’ve tested the noise generator on a light that brings the energy up n down, but it does it randomly and doesn’t look like a blinking light/object.

I rather don’t want to set a keyframe manually for each blinking thing each 10 frames for 250 frames.

Anyone know of a way to turn a light or object on/off repeatedly?

I don’t know if this is what your looking for, but it may be helpful. If you animate the first blink cycle, 10 frames or which ever you needed, in the “F-Curve” window. -Then in that window under the “N” panel you should see the “Modifiers” under “add modifier” there is “Cycles”. This will repeat the editing you did to the f-curve, and give you options as to how to do the repeating.

Hope this helps.

benson-b, Thank you
This was exactly how i wanted it, easy to just make an object with emit value and put it to render/restrict render ability each 10 frame, then with cycles it made it repeat.
