I have an instanced group that is placed on a mesh dome and can’t for the life of me figure out how to make them “radiate out,” as in stay aligned with the face’s normals that they lie on. They are set as a hair emitter.
After adding the particle system check advanced, In the Render panel after adding the object or group, check rotation, then in the Rotation panel, first check the box before the name of the panel, then in the drop-down menu, select Object Y. Make sure the object’s rotation is applied in object mode (CTRL-A > Rotation) and this should solve your problem
