Manuel,
This is an awesome script.
I have a couple of questions.
I do not see any vertex group assignments in the file as indicated in the docs. Should I?
Have you totally abandoned a graphic User interface for the targetname - # system
Thank you for your work. I hope I can contribute some new targets when I get this figured out.
Oops…I’ve used the light mesh version…sorry.
I upload the mesh with vertex group tonight.
- Have you totally abandoned a graphic User interface for the targetname - # system
The graphic user is very heavy, slow and it give a great portion of screen, and for this reasons we have decided to not use it for MH:
it’ impossible to use with hunderd of target.
However, in the next release, I want add a .tga preview of target,
or similar.
But I want continue to develop the MHgui.
Thank you for your work. I hope I can contribute some new targets when I get this figured out.
Oh, yes…I upload the targetgroup NOW!
Please wait 10 minutes…
Thanks! Please do continue the work…
By the way, I think your system of TargetName - # works well and quickly. I especially like the “Tab” auto complete feature. The tricky part is getting an idea of what each target looks like. Your .tga preview would probably solve that. (Thanks for the docs, good docs are a rarity)
Great work Manuel.
Well, first of all, congratulations for the program, now it’s great, but when more targets become available will be… :o (incredible)
As you see in the yafray forum i made a little pic but, i made it with 2.25…i first tried with 2.27 but it crashes many times , but in 2.25 goes fine.
Win98,Python 2.2, 64 Mb…I haven’t seen anyone that has any problem yet so maybe it’s just my computer…
Well, congratulations again.
You can download MH with targetsgroup from
MakeHuman site.
If you have a sw like Download Accelerator, don’t reuse the precedent link:
because the download it’s linked to CVS, you get a precedent version. Go here and click directly on file to download:
http://www.kino3d.com/MakeHuman/index.php?id=54&lang=english
You can use the CVS too:
http://projects.blender.org/viewcvs/viewcvs.cgi/makeh/MakeHuman/?cvsroot=makeh#dirlist
We have strongly tested MH under windows…I think can be your machine.
This is not my cup of tea, but I must say I am very impressed with your efforts! Really amazingly ambitious, to say the least.
Kudos, and stuff…
We are working on a contest :
"…to involve as much as possible the 3D artist community, which would help us create a wide variety of targets in a short period of time. In short one may visualize the aim of the contest as one to create anatomically correct morph targets or special morph targets. "
Actually we are working on rules; you can see a work in progress here:
