I am trying to import a rigged character from makehuman (alpha 7) to blender (2.68a). Please check the images below, i I am not sure if I’m doing something wrong.
For the most part it is functioning very well, but following are a few annoying issues i am facing …
- There is no knee or elbow target in the imported model
- I was trying to learn a walk cycle and the knee kept opening up (using IK) and i had to do a lot of twists and turns to fix it.
- The IK some times bends the knee/elbow in the other direction.
- When i push the body down, IK does not take effect and the legs go beneath the floor.
- The clothes dont fit … go inside the mesh.
- When i first imported the model, i fixed the clothes to fit the model, but when i pose the character, the clothes do inside the mesh again.
I looked at a few tutorials online and saw how animators are using rigged characters in blender.
As I am just learning animation, so clothes are not a big deal right now but I was wondering if there is a fix for issues 1 thru’ 3. If there are no fixes, can some one guide me how to fix the rig myself or point to any link.
