Making 3D logo easily

Great tutorial! I especially liked the reminder about copy/pasting values between fields. I sometimes forget to do that.

On a related note, this seems like a good place to post a tip about prepping SVGs for Blender.

3,544 pixels = 1 Unit

Meaning if you set the artboard in your drawing program (Sketch, Figma, Inkscape, Illustrator) to 3,544 pixels square and save an SVG, it will come into Blender as 1 Unit square. (1 Meter at default Blender settings.)

By doing this, I almost never have to zoom in to find the art.

And with any graphic I know is bound for Blender, I also include a box that fills the full width and height of my artboard. This way when I import it, I can easily center the art by selecting all, moving it X -0.5, Y -0.5, and then Set Origin to Cursor.

Here’s an example SVG you can download and try out.
