I have a scanned model of some terrain, its dimensions are 710m, by 620m, containing 1,335,544 vertices ( that’s a third of it, i had to cut some parts off to work with it ) . I want to fly over the terrain model and record a short film , however due to the size of the terrain model I keep running way over in film time. ( i am learning how to use the camera, film and how to render -( i am unsure how much my pc can take - (Intel i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz, 3696 Mhz, 64 GB.) In addition, I need to add animated people to the film and running water. Am i asking way too much of my PC, will it all end in tears? Because i am still learning; about cameras and film and rendering , i am unsure about what lays ahead. I tried to render out some film, and my pc made some god awful noises and produced a very dark small clip ( the scene looked nicely lit in the viewport) . i used Eevee, should i be using cycles? Is there a room here when i can go and bang my head against the wall? TIA .
Please use breaks and paragraphs.
So your clip is too dark in the render but in the viewport its fine?
Top right corner in the viewport with the shading icons there is an arrow. Click on that and check if the use world light and scene lights is checked (only in render mode)
Look up how to use an hdri in blender.
