Making a Lattice Modification Permanant

I needed to shape a porthole to fit a stretched tube. First, thanks to those who have been answering all my questions about particles. I would never have realized I could have changed the shape of a mesh without all the questions I’ve asked and help I’ve been getting with my questions about particles and fire.

I’ve used a lattice to reshape a porthole I’ve made to fit a spaceship fuselage. Now that I have it shaped the way I want it, is there a way to make the mesh remember that shape and discard the lattice? It’s just one more object with more lines and vertices that confuse me when I’m modeling.

Thanks!

Select the deformed mesh, go to the modifier panel, press make real to make the lattice a modifier, then simply apply it as you would do with any other modifier.
