Hello all, I have a problem which I just can’t seem to get around though I have checked many forums and sites to find a solution. I am using Blender 2.77, cycles. I imported an image as a plane which is meant to be an outside scene viewed through a window. (I am following the “Intro to Blender 3D, Environment” tutorial series) However, I can’t find a way to make the object not receive or cast shadows and not be reflective.
I tried using the Light Path node with a math node set to maximum as was suggested by several other members in other forums (I must be doing something wrong but I none of others I saw made a material setup for an object with an image) and this is what I have:
Here it can be seen that the image plane is receiving shadows. It is very dark compared to the source image in the UV image editor on the left:
If some kind person could please help me and tell me what I’m doing wrong I’d be really really really grateful. This thing has been getting quite annoying!
Thanks in advance!
